What you’ll do
Working in a small business selling all sorts of household goods and furniture both new, reclaimed and old. You will be liaising with customers, arranging to send out the goods with the transport companies/couriers. You will be photographing, writing copy and listing the goods on platforms such as Etsy, Ebay and Vinterior. There is little or no social media presence at the moment which needs building and the role will develop with the right person. The sales are with the customers that come into the premises so it is interaction with everyone visiting and helping them find their purchases. Also sales questions come through from Ebay and the website.
It’s a very varied role, hands on, and there is a lot that could be done that needs an enthusiastic person. The hours need to be on site, however they are able to be flexible in which days/hours for the right person.
Duties include:
Receiving goods in
Pricing up
Taking photos of items to upload to social media and website
Dealing with telephone enquiries from customers and trade
Dealing with customers face to face
SEO for website
Social Media
Warehousing duties, helping customers with heavy items to transport
Could have up to 100 items at a time to photograph and upload
Taking payments
Managing the website – liaising with website company – possibly looking at new suppliers
Stock control
Cleaning of shop and warehouse
Helping out with handling of stock and delivering to customers transport
Cashing up
Experienced Needed
Fantastic customer services skills both face to face and over the phone
Retail background ideal but not essential
An interest or experience in pub fitouts and interior design for both domestic and commercial customers
Experience of using Social Media and building up their digital presence
