Our client is a successful insurance business, looking to recruit a Recoveries Manager to join their business. This is a full time office based role, however our client do allow for some home working as part of their flexible working agreement. Salary is competitive depending on experience, and our client offers a great benefits package. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Recoveries Manager to join an established and growing team working on high value and complex recovery cases.

You will lead and manage a small Recoveries Department with responsibility for supervising, managing and motivating the team on a daily basis, ensuring that the team is operating within FCA regulations and guidelines at all times. You will be required to manage your own case load of recovery files, ensuring that all recoverable claims expenditure is pursued effectively. You will also be required to manage various relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, acting as the main point of contact for the business for all recovery related matters.
Overview of Responsibilities
Day-to-day management of the Recoveries Team, including assessing, handling and pursuing potential recoveries, managing a small team and providing feedback to the Head of Claims.
Management of the end to end Recoveries Process.
Relationship management with key stakeholders such as clients, insurers and panel solicitors ensuring at all times a professional approach
Responsible for providing reporting and Management information
Oversee management of Escrows for recovery or refund, in conjunction with the Finance Department, and ensure monthly insurer bordereaux to register recovery reserves and recoveries received is accurately produced.
Where required undertake case analysis to allow detailed and difficult subrogated recoveries.
Optimise the claims recovery process to maximise the recovery levels achieved for insurers whilst ensuring the fair treatment of customers at all times and in accordance with FCA principles.
To identify and report back to the Head of Claims areas of learning from Recoveries cases, where policy or procedure changes are recommended in other parts of the business to mitigate future claims risk.
To attend external meetings as and when required
To undertake any other task as reasonably required.
Experience / Skills
A proven track record of managing a Recoveries team and improving recovery rates
Experience working in a senior Recoveries / Collections / Credit Control position.
A good legal knowledge of debt recovery, subrogation and insurance.
In depth knowledge of FCA Regulations.
A good decision maker with the ability to identify potential recovery opportunities and put in place effective strategies.
Excellent negotiation skills and good experience of providing excellent customer service.
Experienced in dealing with high value and technically complex recovery cases
Ability to deal professionally with clients/management/staff at all levels and experience of team management and leadership qualities.
Ability to motivate self and the team and display a positive attitude within the department.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
Be able to meet deadlines and manage own workload within agreed parameters.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel
