New Business Insurance Broker - Liverpool - salary negotiable plus commission

A brand new role has arisen to work for a highly reputable, successful and established business in Liverpool.Working directly alongside the Head of Sales and working with an enthusiastic and hardworking supportive team.Working 35 hour week, 24 days holiday, working in modern prestigious offices with a vibrant, ambitious and positive team.

Your role will include:

Brand development and maintenance

Working with Account Executives to assist with winning of new clients

Assistance with marketing via telemarketing, emailing and networking

Work with existing clients

Acting with integrity

Responsibility for winning, retaining and developing profitable new clients and to contribute effectively to broader company targets

Develop and maintain a pipeline of new business prospects; including research, initiation of contact, meetings, creating new business presentations, accurately maintaining Salesforce

Act with pace when responding to internal and external referrals and introductions

Identify and advocate collaboration with colleagues across the business to maximise good client relationships and to actively promote cross selling

Develop knowledge of insurance products offered by the business in their chosen markets and the benefits of the propositions of their partner insurers

Maximise opportunities to actively network with clients and other suppliers within their target market segments to promote the brand, capability, and offerings both face to face

and via social media

Act with integrity and in a way that is compliant with FCA requirements and other regulatory obligations, and equally as importantly in a manner that is consistent with the business core


Ensure that new business enquiries are produced to brokers and insurers in an approved format that is, where possible, complete with all relevant underwriting information

Creating and delivering solutions to best meet the client’s needs based on knowledge of the individual client, what is available in the marketplace, and what is typical for the client’s sector

Deliver a best in class level of client service in line with the company standards and client expectation

Attend and prepare in advance for internal meetings with colleagues to actively contribute in the same

Produce a monthly snapshot of performance for the prior period with a qualitative forecast and narrative for expected performance going forward

Complete all required mandatory training modules in a timely fashion.

Other ad-hoc responsibilities as they arise, and which are deemed reasonable in relation to job role and level

Skills and Experience Required:

At least 1-2 years commercial insurance for SME market, in some cases dealing directly with the business owners - experience either within an account exec support role or an account exec role

Previous B2B successful commercial sales experience

Business networking

Ambition to work hard and who wants to grow with the company

Can hit the ground running

Locally commercially aware

Vibrant, positive, hard working, make decisions quickly, forward thinking
