My client is a well established Company with an office in an idyllic location on the Wirral is looking to recruit a Food Technologist/Administrator
to join their team. Working hours are 37.5 hr per week, this role is initially for 6 months with a view to permanent.
Make up samples for customers from recipes and sales requests.
Pack and send samples to customers and keep the central log up to date and chase deliveries of samples if they have not been delivered
Keep an eye on ingredients and restock as required; maintain a log of requests and arrival of ingredients
Request flavour samples through a sample request/project form direct.Coordinate & Log these requests on current spreadsheet as well as add the
designation to the register of flavours
Request prices for ingredients for NPD projects from external suppliers & from internal departments and maintain Price quote folder up to date
and selling price spreadsheet prices
Request all specifications from suppliers for development projects and coordinate with QA to log these in the appropriate locations in line with BRC
Order lab consumables and maintains stocks of these.
Maintain the lab and associated NPD area clean & tidy
Be able to modify recipes and create recipes in the future
Knowledge of a range of sciences and their applications to food
Good IT, analytical and numerical abilities
Being a confident independent worker but comfortable working with different departments
Meticulous attention to detail, particularly in following recipes and logging samples incoming from suppliers
Understanding of Food microbiology in terms of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene
Good communication skills
Strong team working skills
