An exciting new role has arisen for a successful business based on the Wirral.They are looking for an Accounts Assistant Administrator to join their friendly team.

The main purposes of the role are:

  • To carry out a range of accounts and administrative tasks as part of the finance and administration team.
  • To complete a weekly computerized payroll for approximately 70 employees.
  • To carry out accounts tasks including purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash book as part of the finance team
  • To provide telephone and reception support during breaks and times of absence
  • To provide administrative support during times of absence
  • To provide support to the Head of Finance or Directors in ad hoc assignments or projects.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

 

Accounts and Payroll tasks:

  • Weekly payroll for approximately 70 employees
  • Input of hours, bonuses and allowances from prepared input sheets 
  • P45 and P46 control and administration
  • Personnel file administration
  • Pension’s administration
  • Set up and transfer of wages bank payment file
  • End of year returns
  • Matching, checking and coding invoices
  • Making payments via BACS and cheques
  • Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Filing invoices
  • Data entry
  • Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
  • Support to other members of accounts team during breaks and times of absence
  • Support to the Head of Finance or Directors in ad hoc assignments or projects

  • Administrative tasks:
  • To provide telephone and reception support during breaks and times of absence
  • To provide administrative support during times of absence
  • To produce reports and quotations in MS Word, Excel and Access
  •  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experienced in payroll in a medium sized organisation
  • Experienced in accounts tasks in a medium sized organisation
  • Experienced in office administration including use of telephone, MS word and excel document preparation and completion.
  • Honesty, discretion and integrity

  • Good planning, data handling and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing at all levels
